Can we serve alcohol at a winery wedding?

Ask the venue how alcohol is supplied. Where a place is not licensed and alcohol is sold, or guests pay to attend, QLDC requires a special licence, filed at least 20 working days before the event.

Why apply early for a summer wedding?

QLDC does not count weekends, public holidays or 20 December to 15 January as working days for a special licence, so apply well ahead for weddings from late December to mid-February.
