Mahu Whenua Private Luxury Villa

Mahu Whenua is a hosted private villa high on a ridgeline above Lake Wānaka, within a 55,000-hectare conservation sanctuary. The Homestead and Stables are taken for exclusive use, with an on-site hosting team looking after guests.

Weddings are held here, with indoor spaces and outdoor areas for the ceremony and reception, and the team handles planning checklists, vendors and the rehearsal. The scale runs from an intimate elopement to a grand celebration, and a four-night minimum stay applies.

Views take in Lake Wānaka and the neighbouring mountains and snow-topped peaks. A winter chalet experience and private activities such as helicopter flights and hikes are also offered.
