About Ben Lomond Lavender Farm

Ben Lomond Lavender Farm grows organic lavender in the Wakatipu Valley, a 10-minute drive from Queenstown or Arrowtown. An acre of lavender flowers from December to March, with the fields at their best in January and February, and a shop sells organic lavender products.

Visitors wander through the blooming rows and a large homestead garden with seasonal display gardens, in a tranquil setting among Queenstown's mountain ranges. The Manners Wood family has owned the property since 1978, and Shane, a lifelong gardener with a love of organics, planted the first field of lavender in 1998.

The farm hosts small events and wedding ceremonies on site. A fee applies for professional photography, including wedding shoots, so contact the farm for details.

It closes over winter. Rated 4.0 from 33 Google reviews, 21 of them five stars.
